Bridging the gap between the academic and performing arts communities through dynamic public programs and digital initiatives that are free and open to all.
Join us in a celebration of the publication of Quick Change, a volume of previously uncollected writings from over five decades by Daniel Gerould, Lucille Lortel Distinguished Professor of Theatre and Comparative Literature at the CUNY Graduate Center. The evening will feature a staging of one of the play translations in the volume: Andrzej Bursa’s Count Cagliostro’s Animals (1957), directed by Allison Troup-Jensen and presented by Counterpoint Theatre. This will be the English-language premiere of a ground-breaking play by one of post-war Poland’s major poets. With additional support from the Polish Cultural Institute, New York.
