Celebrating Daniel Gerould’s Quick Change: Theatre Essays and Translations. Foreword by Richard Schechner
Segal TheaterJoin us in a celebration of the publication of Quick Change, a volume of previously uncollected writings from over five decades by Daniel Gerould, Lucille Lortel Distinguished Professor of Theatre and Comparative Literature at the CUNY Graduate Center.

Segal TheaterReadings of excerpts from selected works in translation will be followed by a panel discussion addressing questions such as: how are playwrights addressing China’s recent rapid economic and social changes? Dael Orlandersmith: Black N Blue Boys/Broken Men (Reading + Discussion)
Segal TheaterPulitzer finalist and Obie award-winning New York playwright, poet, and performer Dael Orlandersmith joins us with a preview of her new solo work in development, Black N Blue Boys/ Broken Men. Black N Blue Boys/Broken Men, a co-production of Chicago’s Goodman Theatre and Berkeley Repertory Theatre, tackles issues of gender and sexual abuse, giving voice to adult male survivors of childhood abuse. Followed by a discussion and Q & A with Dael Orlandersmith.
